Community Support
Community support has sustained TROT since its inception in 1974. Because participant fees comprise less than one-third of the operating budget, the generosity of community minded corporations, foundations, and individuals has made TROT a continuing reality in the lives of people with special needs.
A volunteer Board of Directors, along with the staff, instructors, therapists and volunteers at TROT are committed to the organization's mission. Even with the fantastic volunteer support we receive, the riding program is very expensive to operate. TROT spends over $1,000 per year for each rider. Rider fees make up about 30% of this cost. We must raise the rest from our annual giving campaign, special events, and grants. Great things are happening at TROT and you can be a part of the team! We need more people who care. Sunrise Rotary Club Fundraiser- Thank You Participants!
The Sunrise Rotary Club selected TROT as the beneficiary of contributions from their April 5th trail ride fundraiser. TROT has ear-marked this generous contribution to refurbish the sensory trails with bright new colors and activities. Thank you to everyone who participated in this wonderful event.
