VETERAN'S PROGRAM

Since spring 2006, TROT has collaborated with the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Hospital

in a program for injured US Veterans in the Tucson Region. “Heroes on Horses” is one of the first

program of its type at a NARHA Premier Accredited Center – a program of weekly therapeutic riding
lessons to prepare Veterans to seek recreational riding opportunities with family and friends in a variety
of environments.

The “Heroes on Horses” program was the subject of the April 2007
episode of the American Veteran filed by VA Productions of
Washington, DC for airing on The Pentagon Channel.

Several service clubs in Tucson support the fee for a Veteran in the program to show support
for the men and women who have served our country. YOU can get involved in this worthwhile
project by sponsoring a Veteran for a semester of therapeutic riding lessons for $500.
