GETTING INVOLVED:

Community Support

Community support has sustained TROT since its inception in 1974. Because participant fees comprise less than one-third of the operating budget, the generosity of community minded corporations, foundations, and individuals has made TROT a continuing reality in the lives of people with special needs.

A volunteer Board of Directors, along with the staff, instructors, therapists and volunteers at TROT are committed to the organization's mission. Even with the fantastic volunteer support we receive, the riding program is very expensive to operate. TROT spends over $1,000 per year for each rider. Rider fees make up about 30% of this cost. We must raise the rest from our annual giving campaign, special events, and grants. Great things are happening at TROT and you can be a part of the team! We need more people who care. You play a major role in the continued success of TROT through your tax-deductible contribution. Your support makes a critical difference.

Help Buy and Sell Raffle Tickets to Raise Funds for TROT...
The Tucson Conquistadores invite TROT to Participate every year in their raffle of a new car.
This exciting raffle begins in the Fall and the winner is announced in the Spring.

When our supporters buy or sell tickets, TROT gets to keep the money!

**Watch this space for the announcement of the 2011 Car and the availability of raffle tickets – it’s such an easy way to support our riders.  Then call TROT at 749-2360 to purchase tickets with Visa or MasterCard.
These raffle opportunities raise funds for the TROT programs so we can keep our fees at a steady rate.

Ways to Support TROT- Easy & Almost Effortless

TROT has community partnership relationships with several businesses in town.  Community partnerships are charitable programs in which certain businesses give back to non-profits whose supporters patronize their businesses.  Each participating non-profit is assigned a group identification number to which their supporters can link their purchases, a portion of which is distributed to the participating charities or non-profits.  Community partnerships are truly win/win arrangements; both the businesses and non-profits benefit.  The customers, our supporters, just have to shop the way you ordinarily do just be sure you have your purchases linked to Therapeutic Riding of Tucson.
