Get Involved

There are several ways you can help TROT accomplish our goals, one stride at a time! TROT is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, Federal Tax ID #86-0329294

Since its beginning in 1974, TROT has never turned away an applicant because of their inability to pay for services. However, one of our biggest ongoing challenges is to maintain funds sufficient to meet the ever-increasing needs of our rider families.

The cost of boarding, feeding and caring for our herd is over $115,000 annually. This amount does not include any unscheduled or emergency veterinarian visits or medical care. Our program cannot function without our wonderful horses. If you would like to fully or partially sponsor one (or more) of our horses, please view their profiles here and let us know which horses(s) you would like to sponsor. A gift of $6,600 will sponsor one horse for a year and we will recognize your sponsorship with a plaque on their stall!

Did you know that Arizona allows its taxpayers to give to TROT what they would otherwise pay in income tax?

TROT is a Qualified Charitable Organization able to accept donations of $400 per year for an individual and $800 for couples.

Do you shop Amazon on a regular basis or at the holidays? If so, consider shopping the Amazon Smile program and selecting Therapeutic Riding of Tucson as your charity of choice. With everything you purchase through Amazon Smile, TROT receives a donation of .05%. It may not sound like much, but it adds up!

Have a saddle or tack to donate, or everyday items such as paper towels? TROT accepts donations of goods and services throughout the year.

There are many ways to support TROT, but as we look forward to our next 40 years, we believe a bequest is particularly valuable because it ensures that TROT will have the long-term support necessary to carry our mission into the future.

You may already have made provisions to support TROT through a bequest or another type of planned gift. If that is the case, please download and complete the form below so we can ensure the proper designation and handling of your gift, and most importantly so we can say THANK YOU!
