There is no greater love than the love between a horse and their rider.

As the majestic, noble creatures they are, horses have the ability to give us many gifts by simply being in our lives — from being our best friends to providing us with peace and comfort at the end of a long day, and the list doesn’t stop with companionship and love.

At TROT, our equine-assisted activities and therapies can be beneficial for those affected by disabilities, as bonding and interacting with animals can help with relationship-building skills, strength, confidence, respect, mood regulation and other social abilities.

TROT is a leader in the field of equine-assisted activities and therapies and provides the most effective types of complementary therapies available. These therapies are supported and backed by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, It has been proven to help reduce anxiety, depression, pain, and fatigue in people who use this type of therapy.

Thank you to Empire High School Boys Soccer Team for coming out to TROT to help us start our pasture expansion project!
In just under two hours, the boys dismantled, moved, and reinstalled over 200 feet of temporary corral fencing and unearthed 9 4x4 posts encased in cement from our sensory course.
They kicked butt and we are so grateful for their help!

Have you met Carmela, TROT's beach-blonde babe? Carmela is a Halflinger mare who is a staple in our therapeutic riding program. This versatile pony is best known for her good looks and smooth gaits. In her free time, she enjoys snacking on grass and hanging out with her pasture mates.
